
Do you remember NYC in 1978? The Arsenal Gallery will take you there in the new exhibition, 1978: The NYC Parks/New York Times Photo Project, opening on Wednesday, May 2nd.
During the New York City newspaper strike that took place from August to November of 1978, the New York City Park’s Department hired eight New York Times photographers to document the City’s parks.
This exhibit features highlights of their 3,000 images ~ curated by Jonathan Kuhn, Director of Art & Antiquities, City of New York Parks & Recreation.
1978: The NYC Parks/New York times Photo Project will be located at Arsenal Gallery, 830 Fifth Avenue at 65th Street, with an opening reception on Wednesday, May 2nd from 6-8pm. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
