In a celebration of the January 21, 2017 Women’s March throughout the Country, Poster House Museum opens its doors to a deeper look within the larger context of this demonstration in response to the election of Donald Trump, with the exhibition 20/20 Insight: Posters from the 2017 Women’s March.
People of every age, gender, and ethnic persuasion, came together, taking to the streets, in protest. On this one day, hundreds of thousands of people filled streets in large and small towns throughout our Nation, carrying posters addressing issues of immigration, environment, civil rights, equal rights, and in particular, women’s rights. Poster House Museum will exhibit this visual response made in the form of graphics and posters.
20/20 Insight: Posters from the 2017 Women’s March is curated by Melissa Walker, with exhibition design by Ola Baldych, and has been extended, on view from October 17, 2019 through February 10, 2020 at Poster House Museum, 119 West 23rd Street, NYC in the Programs Gallery.
