NYC Parks will kick-off the Anti-Litter campaign by hosting its first “Love Your Park” pop-up event ~ a new facet of the Anti-Litter campaign in 2021.
NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver, FAICP, will join staff to clean the park and educate the public on the importance of doing their part to keep our parks clean by joining one of the many volunteer activities hosted as part of the campaign.

During the ongoing pandemic, parks are being used more than ever before and more park users means more litter. To prepare for the upcoming busy season, NYC Parks is rolling out year two of its Anti-Litter campaign to address excessive trash being left behind.

Beginning April 1, as part of the 2021 campaign, New Yorkers will see more than 150 new bright orange trash corrals installed in 93 parks across the city, and anti-litter ads on bus shelters, in grocery stores and at park entrances.

As part of the campaign relaunch, Parks is introducing new activities to encourage volunteerism including Jr. Litter League for kids and young adults, Love Your Park Pop-up events across the city, a Litter Ambassador program, and more!
