The Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation will host Carole Teller’s Changing New York: A Close Up on the Photos and the Photographer on Thursday, January 25th from 6:30-8:00pm at The Salmagundi Club.
Over the last half century, Carole Teller documented the Village in photographs, which tell “an incredible story of a changing New York, from the early 1960s through the early 1990s, with a keen eye for capturing characters, places, and events in moments of transformation or disappearance.” Her donation of these photographs to the GVSHP were recently shared with the public on the GVSHP Historic Image Archive.
Carole Teller’s Changing New York: A Close Up on the Photos and the Photographer, a conversation between Carole Teller and GVSHP Executive Director, Andrew Berman, will take a closer look at the collection on Thursday, January 25 from 6:30-8:00pm at The Salmagundi Club, 47 Fifth Avenue, between 11th-12th Streets.
This is a Free Event, however Reservations are required.
