Artist Fanny Allié to Unveil 10 New Sculptures in Bella Abzug Park, Hudson Yards

The Hudson Yards Hell’s Kitchen Alliance (HYHK) today announces Shadows, an installation of ten new site-specific sculptures created by mixed-media artist Fanny Allié for Bella Abzug Park (542 W 36th St., New York, NY 10018) and inspired by the workers who maintain it. Shadows invites people to experience the park—a picturesque public green space surrounded by urban bustle—in a new way, as a place for compelling, free art.

The Armory Show Announces Five Armory Off Site 2022 Locations in September

The Armory Show announces the public art installations of Armory Off­ Site, the second edition of the art fair’s outdoor art program that brings large-scale artworks to New York City’s parks and public spaces. Each work will be on view during the fair, which takes place at the Javits Center this September 9-11. Several Armory Off-Site installations will remain on view until late 2022.

Gillie and Marc bring King Nyani to Bella Abzug Park in Hudson Yards

To raise awareness and funds for the critically endangered gorilla species, public artists Gillie and Marc  have created a massive sculpture of the animal that will be unveiled later this month in Hudson Yards’ Bella Abzug Park. Titled King Nyani, Swahili for gorilla, it’s the world’s largest bronze gorilla sculpture.

Six Temporary Art Installations Pop-Up in Bella Abzug Park at Hudson Yards

Who can forget Bella Abzug ~ and in honor of her memory, New York City Parks renamed Hudson Yards Park in her honor during Women’s History Month, 2019. The busy little Park is also a #7 Train stop on the subway at 34th Street, and sits alongside an entrance to The Shed and The Vessel. It is under the auspices of not only NYC Parks, but also The Hudson Yards Hell’s Kitchen Alliance (HYHK).
