Publicolor paints 11,000 sq-ft Mural in Hudson Square entitled ‘Fractured Spectrum: Colors in Motion

Hudson Square Properties, a joint venture of Trinity Church Wall Street, Norges Bank Investment Management, and Hines, today announced the completion of a portfolio-wide initiative in which volunteers painted an 11,000-square-foot mural in Hudson Square in partnership with Publicolor, UPS, and the Hudson Square BID. One of the largest outdoor murals in New York City, ”Fractured Spectrum: Colors in Motion” encompasses 34 loading dock gates, transforming the previously muted Greenwich Street corridor from West Houston to Spring Street into a unique, engaging, and colorful art installation spanning four city blocks.

Ariana Papademetropoulos: Unweave a Rainbow at Vito Schnabel Projects

Vito Schnabel Projects will present Ariana Papademetropoulos: Unweave a Rainbow, the first New York City solo exhibition for the Los Angeles-based artist. Unweave a Rainbow will debut a new series of large-scale works by the artist, in which she mingles images of natural phenomena with her meditations on interiors as analogs. The exhibition will also feature new small-scale additions to her ongoing series of ‘symbolist’ paintings.

‘Care for Hudson Square’ Unveils Winning Design by WIP Collaborative!

Care for Hudson Square is a recovery initiative aimed at reinvigorating the Hudson Square neighborhood. Small and M/WBE design firms were invited to submit proposals for an interactive street installation that would help reactivate the public realm. The Urban Design Forum, Hudson Square Properties, and Hudson Square Business Improvement District announced the winner of their “Care for Hudson Square” design competition in September 2020 ~ WIP Collaborative.

Now, in July of 2021, the Hudson Square winning design project has been unveiled, with the restorative ground streetscape completed.
