Artist Fanny Allié to Unveil 10 New Sculptures in Bella Abzug Park, Hudson Yards

The Hudson Yards Hell’s Kitchen Alliance (HYHK) today announces Shadows, an installation of ten new site-specific sculptures created by mixed-media artist Fanny Allié for Bella Abzug Park (542 W 36th St., New York, NY 10018) and inspired by the workers who maintain it. Shadows invites people to experience the park—a picturesque public green space surrounded by urban bustle—in a new way, as a place for compelling, free art.

Hudson Yards Gallery Opens its Doors to Inaugural Exhibition June 11 & 12, 2022

Hudson Yards has a new gallery, with an inaugural exhibition in June. Located in a former carriage house built in 1910, Hudson Yards Gallery will  present curated mixed-media exhibits two-days each month. Well-known photographer/artist James Weber will be at the helm, curating the monthly collection, which will have its inaugural exhibition on June 11 & 12.

MTA Arts & Design at Hudson Yards #7 Line ~ Xenobia Bailey

In 2015, Hudson Yards and its surrounding area looked like nothing more than an enormous construction site, with so many different projects, it was hard to separate one from the other. But in September of that year, the MTA completed and opened its #7 crosstown subway line to Hudson Yards, and the artwork alone could be a destination.

Gillie and Marc bring King Nyani to Bella Abzug Park in Hudson Yards

To raise awareness and funds for the critically endangered gorilla species, public artists Gillie and Marc  have created a massive sculpture of the animal that will be unveiled later this month in Hudson Yards’ Bella Abzug Park. Titled King Nyani, Swahili for gorilla, it’s the world’s largest bronze gorilla sculpture.
