The annual Jane’s Walk NYC is back! Celebrating the life of Jane Jacobs in the city that never sleeps, this all volunteer-led event will offer in-person, guided group walks, virtual and self-guided tours with over 200 walks across all five boroughs. The festival is free and open to the public with your RSVP for each tour. Sign up early because many of the tours are capped at 30 attendees.

The Municipal Art Society awards 2023 Brendan Gill Prize To Charles Gaines for ‘The American Manifest: Chapter 1’

The Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS) has named conceptual artist, Charles Gaines as the winner of the 2023 Brendan Gill Prize for his public art project The American Manifest: Chapter 1.

The award will be presented at The View at The Battery on the evening of Tuesday, September 26. As part of the festivities, Gaines and members of the Brendan Gill Prize Jury will participate in an engaging conversation about the project, his process, and influences. Refreshments and light bites will be served.

Get Ready for The Municipal Art Society’s Annual Jane’s Walk, May 5-7

Dust off your sneakers and get ready for the annual Jane’s Walk, which will be held on May 5-7. Organized by the Municipal Art Society of New York, it is the largest chapter of the festival anywhere in the world, with more than 165 in-person, virtual, and on-demand walks in all five boroughs.
