The Armory Show is pleased to announce over 225 leading international galleries exhibiting in the 2023 edition, representing more than 35 countries and showcasing over 800 artists. New York’s Art Fair will return for its third year at the Javits Center September 8-10, with a VIP Preview Day on September 7.

Inaugural Exhibition, PHOTOFAIRS New York, Launches Alongside The Armory Show at Javits Center September 8-10

PHOTOFAIRS New York is a new contemporary art fair dedicated to photo-based works, digital art and new media. Taking place at the Javits Center, Manhattan’s West Side during The Armory Show, (September 8-10), the Fair will present a state-of-the-art view of visual culture.

Running alongside The Armory Show, (separate entrance), PHOTOFAIRS New York cements the first week of September as the annual pulse point on New York’s arts calendar. The fair’s debut edition welcomes a highly curated selection of exhibitors from around the world, from renowned photography dealers to interdisciplinary contemporary art galleries, to organizations at the forefront of emerging technologies.

The 2022 Armory Show at Javits Center will take place from September 9-11, with a VIP Preview on September 8th. The Show will present over 240 leading international galleries from more than 30 countries.

In addition, The Kitchen will present at the fair rarely seen selections from its expansive archive in celebration of the vital contributions of its artists over time, as part of the longstanding Cultural Partners Program.

Artists for the Inaugural Armory Off-Site at the US Open in August 2022 Have Been Announced

 

 

 

 

Gerald Chukwuma, OGBUNIGWE, 2021, presented by Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery. This new sculpture is informed and inspired by the Uni art traditions of the Igbo people from south-eastern Nigeria. It transforms found objects to examine the movements of people through voluntary and forced migration as a vital stage in the progress of our collective humanity.

The Armory Show and the United States Tennis Association will present large-scale sculptures at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center August 23 – September 11, 2022, coinciding with the tournament and fair.

The Armory Show 2021 at Javits Center ~ September 9-12 + Armory Off-Site & Online

On September 9, 2021, The Armory Show ~ New York’s Art Fair ~ returned with 212 exhibitors from 37 countries for its 27th edition. 157 of these galleries took part in the physical fair in The Armory Show’s permanent new home, the Javits Center. The Event will also include off-site outdoor art installation at Astor Place; Bella Abzug Park; Flatiron Plaza; and Pier 64 at Hudson River Park. If you missed the show, digital access to Armory Online will be available on Artsy through September 30th.
