Diane Arbus: In the Park at Lévy Gorvy Gallery

Lévy Gorvy Gallery opened the exhibit, Diane Arbus: In the Park, on May 2nd. The solo exhibit focuses on photographs made in Central Park and Washington Square Park. These rarely seen photographs range in dates from the late 1950s to 1971, and include such iconic images as “Susan Sontag and her son on a bench” in 1965, which will be exhibited for the first time. Also included is the photograph entitled “A Young Man and His Girlfriend with Hot Dogs in the Park”, NYC, made in 1971 – the year of her death.

Diane Arbus: In the Park spans two floors of the gallery, and will be on view from May 2 to June 24 at Lévy Gorvy Gallery, 909 Madison Avenue, corner of 73rd Street. The exhibit is presented in collaboration with Fraenkel Gallery, San Francisco.
