Two whimsical and wonderful sculptures appeared in and around the pond in Morningside Park in June. ‘Pond Blossoms‘, (featured above), works by Elizabeth Knowles and Eric David Laxman are in the water; and ‘Watching Over You’ by sculptor artist Simon Rigg sits on a tiny patch of land in the pond.

‘Pond Blossoms‘ and Watching Over You’ are part the The NYC Parks’ Art in the Parks program, in conjunction with The Sculptors Guild and the NYC Parks.
The installations will be on view in Morningside Park through October, 2023.

Thank you to @HarlemGal for the heads-up on this wonderful installation.
And more coming to Morningside Park ~ “These wonderful sculptures join Naomi Lawrence’s fiber art mural that is installed at the northern end of the park. And coming later this summer Harlem based artist Susan Stair will install a site specific 16′ sculpture, Setting the Stage for Climate Change. Shoutout to Sculptors Guild for joining Art Lives Here and our collaborating artist members in Morningside Park this summer.“……. Connie Lee, President, Living with Art, Inc./Art Lives Here.
