Faction Art Projects Harlem will explore complex masculine identities, challenging historical depictions, with three artists using differing styles, in a new exhibit entitled ‘Others.’

Challenging historical depictions of strong, muscled men of stature are Mark Dutcher, Aaron Smith and Andrew Mania, who proceed to portray a masculinity that is vulnerable, doubtful, idealized and even pretty, stimulating discussion around modern perspectives of masculinity.

Mark Ducther, Andrew Mania, Aaron Smith: Others will be on view at Faction Art Projects Harlem from June 22 to July 15, 2018, 2602 Frederick Douglass Blvd at 139th Street, in the Strivers Row district of Harlem.  Private View on Thursday, June 21st from 6-9pm.
