Fall in love with New York City’s parks all over again! With the season’s crisp, cool weather and gorgeously colored leaves making an entrance, today NYC Parks announced the return of its #FallForNYC initiative, with its fifth annual fall photo campaign, Leaf ID guide, suggestions for the most scenic spots to leaf peep, and fun events across the five boroughs to get New Yorkers in the autumn spirit.

“NYC parks are the best places to experience fall in New York City and see the changing leaves, such as yellow ginkgos and red oaks,” said NYC Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue. “From celebrating fall in Rockaway to biking through Van Cortlandt Park, we invite you to join us this autumn and #FallforNYC!”

NYC PARKS FALL FOLIAGE TRACKER

We’re tracking some of New York City’s favorite tree species! From maple to ginkgo, every tree will show off their fall colors at a different time throughout the season. Head to our Fall Foliage Tracker to see when the peak hues will be for each species. A checkmark will appear and the image will brighten when the tree species is at its peak beauty!
