The Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage is back in 2022 with nearly 90 free and benefit performances in Central Park and 12 neighborhood parks across all five boroughs.

Save the date for Opening Night in Central Park, Saturday, June 11th, with the legendary jazz pianist and composer Herbie Hancock, produced in association with Blue Note Jazz Festival.

Tickets are available now – check the full calendar of events. Here are a few highlights we hope you won’t miss:

Friday, June 17th, enjoy a screening of Summer of Soul (….Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) in Marcus Garvey Park from 7-10pm. This is a Free Event.

The Metropolitan Opera Summer Recital featuring Brittany Renee, Ben Bliss and Justin Austin will perform in Central Park on Monday, June 20th from 8-10pm. A Free event.

The Metropolitan Opera Summer Recital will perform in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Wednesday, June 22nd. A Free Event.

The Metropolitan Opera Summer Recital will perform in Jackie Robinson Park on Thursday, June 23rd from 7-8:30pm.

The Metropolitan Opera Summer Recital will perform in the Williamsbridge Oval on Saturday, June 25th.

Queens Live! will take place on Saturday, June 25th in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

We are excited to see The Metropolitan Opera Summer Recital performing in Socrates Sculpture Garden on Monday, June 27th.

Maimouna Keita African Dance Company will perform in Corporal Thompson Park on Friday, August 5th.

Looking forward to the Charlie Parker Jazz Festival, this 30th anniversary will take place from August 26 to August 28th.

Beginning in Marcus Garvey Park on Friday, August 26th ~ Jazzmen Horn and her Noble Force/Calvin Booker; Saturday, August 27th ~ Terence Blanchard featuring the E-Collective and Turtle Island Quartet/Buster Williams & Something More/Nikara Presents Black Wall Street/Vuyo Sotashe ~ and on Sunday, August 28th, a return to Tompkins Square Park with Archie Sheep and Jason Moran/Melissa Aldana/Bria Skonberg/Pasquale Grasso.

Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis will perform in Central Park on Wednesday, August 31st.
