Home is Gold at Taller Boricua Gallery, East Harlem

The current exhibit, Home is Gold, at the Taller Boricua Gallery in East Harlem, is a colorful display by the Garcia sisters, Scherezade and iliana emilia. Here they honor their place of birth, the Dominican Republic, with a sense of home and tradition, bringing the three-room gallery space to life. There will be a panel discussion on April 20th at 6 pm, which will include Scherezade Garcia, iliana emilia Garcia, Dr. Olga Herrera, Abigail Lapin Dardashti, and curator of the exhibit, Nitza Tufino. The exhibit, Home is Gold, will be on view thru April 28. Taller Boricua Gallery is located on the main level of the Julia de Burgos Latino Cultural Center, 1680 Lexington Avenue at 106th Street.
