Human Connection Arts was launched in 2017, born from the days when Andy Golub, its founder, painted freely in the streets of New York City.

Now, the nonprofit ~ true to its mission of forming unique connections between artist and model during body painting ~ focuses on the vulnerabilities between models and artists, creating significant impact on artist, models and the public, as they strive to build a world where all people are accepted, regardless of race, gender, size, shape, age and even political views.

Kicking-off 2021, Human Connection Arts announced the opening of new indoor gallery and outdoor courtyard, set to open on January 18, 2021 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The new space will be located at Java Art Studios, where HCA will host free interactive events each week, including painting, poetry, music, movement, and conversations.

Join Human Connection Arts at the 2021 NYC Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village!

This is the 13th year that Human Connection Arts will be body painting at the 2021 NYC Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village (the largest Halloween Parade in the country), and it’s their 4th year with their own float!

October 31st NYC Halloween Parade

12-6pm:
The day starts off with 5 artists painting 20 models in an indoor studio. All models wear jeans and are painted from the waist up.

6-9pm:
At 6pm, we walk a few blocks to our float, where DJ John Rovito is spinning tunes. The parade launches at 7pm, but we usually launch closer to 9pm. Our Freedom Van is also in the parade and models can rotate in and out of the van to keep warm. Of course dancing to the great music is the best way to keep warm.

9-9:30pm:
Ride through the Parade…an awesome experience!

10-?
After-Party either at a nearby bar or at the HCA Space In Brooklyn…info coming soon.
