It’s Time for Summer Streets 2021 ~ August 7th and 14th

 

 

Summer Streets is back and will take place on two Saturdays in August ~ August 7th, and 14th from 7:00am to 1:00pm on Park Avenue from the Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park.

Summer Street 2021 Activities include Summer Streets Art Stop; Citi Bike; Big Onion Walking Tours; The DSNY Trucks of Art; a Free Bike Rental stand by Unlimited Biking; Fitness Class Stage including Zing! Kids Fitness; Pop-Up Performances and much more.

Hosted by NYC DOT, bike rentals, fitness classes, performances, arts programming and a plethora of free activities will be offered at the four rest stop locations along the way. The four rest stops include Foley Square Rest Stop at Duane/Centre Streets; Astor Place Rest Stop at Lafayette/Astor Place; Midtown Rest Stop at 26th Street and Park Avenue; and the Uptown Rest Stop at 51st Street and Park Avenue.

During Summer Streets 2021, Park Avenue and Lafayette Street will be closed to cars and open to pedestrians to run, walk or bike along the almost seven-miles between the Brooklyn Bridge and Central Park.

Summer Streets is a project of the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT).
