
The Rubin Museum’s Annual Block Party will take place on Sunday, July 21st from 1-4pm! It’s a true Summer celebration when thousands of New Yorkers fill the car-free 17th Street between 7th/6th Avenues. This year, it’s all about the Power Within.
This family-friendly annual event is a day when the museum is open free to the public to explore the year-long exhibition, Power: Within and Between Us.

Kids and adults will enjoy a plethora of art-making activities including Power Down ~ creating your own stress balls; Power On ~ creating a portable lamp with LED lights and Power Objects ~ wrap and weave string around wood and stone in a project inspired by the Tibetan Namkha.

Yes, it’s all about Power. Participants can work on Flower Power, Power Nap, Power Poles, Power Trip or Power Couple.
The Event will include activities led by community organizations like Siddhartha School, Tibetan Community of NY/NJ, YindaYin Coaching, Grassroots Movement in Nepal and more.

Lots of performances including the Fogo Azul Brazilian Women’s Drumline, and food available by Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, People’s Pops, Yanni’s Coffe and Cafe Serai.
The Rubin Museum of Art Block Park will be held on July 21, 2019 from 1-4pm, located on West 17th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.
