Keith de Lellis Gallery opens its Online Viewing to a selection of photographs that would have been exhibited at Paris Photo New York.

One of our favorite images from this exhibition is an image of the studio of James Van Der Zee’s GGG Photo Studio (vintage image above, and current Google image below), located at 272 Lenox Avenue in Harlem.

You will notice that the brownstones in that immediate area, between 123rd/124th Streets, have kept their historic integrity including the ‘ghost writing’ on Vanderzee’s studio.

This online exhibition also includes images taken by Carl Van Vechten (Gertrude Stein, 1935; Alice B. Toklas, 1934); images take at The Garage in the 1970s; images of the construction of Grand Central Terminal, c. 1912, by civil engineers Balcom & Darrow; Manhattan Bridge construction; Williamsburg Bridge construction; Brooklyn Bridge construction and more.
