Kristian Glynn: Garbage Bouquet Opening at Gitler &___

Tongue Lost Tongue, 2017; mixed media (acrylic and spray paint on cardboard, wood, clay, metal, plastic, string, glass, wire), 66 cm x 51 cm x 10 cm (deep)

Gitler & __ will open its doors to a solo exhibition from painter and mixed-media artist Kristian Glynn, entitled Garbage Bouquet on October 26th.

One man’s garbage is truly another’s treasure when viewing the colorful wall-mounted, paper-based assemblages of recycled, reused and new paper (that include some found materials, card stock and even cigarette filters). Glynn’s new work layers feelings of love, loss, and loneliness in forms that appear sensual, elegant, abstract or even beautifully grotesque.
