The Standard High Line has a message ~ New York Stand-Up ~ and Ring Your Rep! and as of Thursday, August 4th, you can ring your rep directly from a phone booth installed by The Standard Hotels in all five of their locations. New Yorkers can step into the booth right on the plaza of The Standard High Line at West 13th Street, just to the right of the entrance, under the High Line.  Ring Your Rep is The Standard’s way of promoting positive and productive activism.

In addition to the phone booths, The Standard Hotel is rolling out a direct-dial feature on the in-room phones in all of their hotels, so even if you never leave your room, you can Speak-Up.

The telephone line dials directly to the U.S. Capitol Switchboard – punch in your zip code, choose your Rep, and leave your message.

Knowing that you might be at a loss for words, The Standard says they have you covered with a simple script to read, in case you get tongue-tied.

Speaking up makes a difference. Congressional staffers tally up all calls. Counting the For/Against can play a part in how our representatives vote.

The Standard High Line is located at 848 Washington Street, at West 13th Street in the Meatpacking District.
