Not of This Island will open at Galleries at The Interchurch Center today, featuring four very special artists ~ TAFA, Hrvoje Slovenc, Ezequiel Taveras and Ismael Checo.
“The Interchurch Center is pleased to present Not of This Island, featuring the works of four immigrant artists who are longstanding members of NYC’s cultural community: painter Ismael Checo of the Dominican Republic, photographer Hrvoje Slovenc of Croatia, painter Tafa B. Tafa of Ghana, and mixed-media artist Ezequiel Taveras of the Dominican Republic.”
Not of This Island will be on view from November 7 to December 22 2017, with a Reception on November 16 from 5:30-7:00pm. The exhibition is organized by guest curator, Debra Vanderburg Spencer. Galleries at The Interchurch Center is located at 475 Riverside Drive, at 120th Street.
