Rostarr (Romon K. Yang), On Love: The Art of Lines, Shapes & Symbols at Brookfield Place

From April 17 to April 29th, four artists will create large-scale calligraphic paintings on the windows of the Winter Garden, using the poetic theme of love.  The exhibition, On Love: The Art of Lines, Shapes & Symbols, will also include dance and music.

The four artists, who are from Iran, Japan, India and the United States, will use words, letters, shapes and symbols from their languages of birth to explore the linguistic and artistic connections to calligraphy.  Since the artwork will be created over the two weeks of this exhibition, the public will be able to watch the work being crafted.

As one artist finishes, another artist will begin. At the end of the second week, the windows in the Winter Garden will be a fantastic display of love through words, letters, art and symbols.
