Photoville Returns to Brooklyn Bridge Park

 

September 13-17 and September 21-24

 

The sixth edition of Photoville, a village creation made of more than 55 shipping containers as galleries, will return to Brooklyn Bridge Park September 13-17 and September 21-24.  The event will include panel discussions and talks presented at St. Ann’s Warehouse, inside containers,  outdoor installations, and Emergi-Cubes, plus more than 30 panels, and workshops. Photo publishers, gear demonstrations, and a community photo book store run by Red Hook Editions, with more than 70 indoor exhibits will be on view.

Yes – it’s BIG.  Feeling overwhelmed?  Take a Walking Tour through Photoville for Free. The Tours meet at the Main Entrance to Photoville ~ just look for the Walking Tours flag. This years Tour Guides include National Geographic Senior Photo Editor, Sarah Lee; Photo District New Editor, Holly Hughes; renowned curator, Julie Grahame; and noted documentary photographer, Nina Berman + more.  Check Tour schedule for continuous updates.

Photoville will also include their Smorgasburg Beer Garden, including Brooklyn Brewery beers, food vendors, with five nights of programming in the Beer Garden  ~  more than 100 vendors in total.

Special Events include Leica Akademie, Women Photograph + ONA Workshop; and Penumbra tin Type Sessions.
