We found this gorgeous picture of the Harlem Branch Library in the New York Public Library Digital Collection. Located on 124th Street between Fifth Avenue and Mount Morris Park West, it overlooks Marcus Garvey Park, and two of the three Little Free Libraries that are along the 124th Street section of the Park.
Today, the library has a wheelchair ramp and wrought iron fencing along the front. Unfortunately the awnings have been retired. No date or photographer were found in the archives.
This is one of the many Carnegie Libraries throughout our five boroughs that I wrote about back in 2015.
