Make Music Winter Festival in East Harlem ~ December 21st

Join in on the Holiday fun when Make Music NY Winter comes to East Harlem. The festive event will take place on Saturday, December 21st from 4:00-10:00pm.

Performing musicians include Antoinette Montague, quintessential journeyman Patience Higgins on sax, Mingus Big Band member Frank Lacy on trombone, and the versatile Eddie Allen on trumpet. The band is presented with very special thanks to producer Roz Nixon of Roz Nixon Entertainment (RNE), creator of the annual multi-genre festival “Great Women In Music.” The All Star Jazz Band will be performing in front of The Brownstone from 4:00-5:00pm.

Hop on the Jingle Train! from 4:00-10:00pm ~The trolley will run a loop from the 125th Street-Harlem Metro-North station to the Harlem Night Market at La Marqueta, with stops at local small businesses along the way. Musicians of various genres will perform from the Jingle Train throughout the evening and into the night, rotating every thirty to sixty minutes – so you can ride for hours on end and experience multiple musical styles.

 Free hand-held Jingle Taps and other percussion instruments courtesy of Rhythm Band Instruments will be available for participants while supplies last so that you can play along!
