Every Tuesday, starting August 11th through the end of October, our team will clean the sidewalks and gutters along St. Nicholas Avenue including the five green-spaces along or near St. Nicholas Avenue as well as the Harriet Tubman Memorial. The catchment area for the St. Nicholas Avenue Clean-Up are between West 111th and West 124th Streets.
Come out on Tuesday, September 22nd, and meet Rachel Smith, a reporter with The City, who is writing a story about street and park clean-up efforts citywide. Rachel and her staff photographer will be at A. Philip Randolph Square from 8am to 9am to document the clean-up efforts and record your stories about the need for civic engagement and citizen activism at a critical time in our city’s history.
