The popular beyond-the-walls series, Lil’ Studio, presented by Studio Museum in Harlem, will be held on August 3rd, 2019 at the New York Public Library located at 9 West 124th Street in Harlem.
Explore music, community, and art making during this sensory edition of Lil’ Studio. Using textured papers and paint, engage your little ones as they create a work of art inspired by artist Stephanie Weaver!
Parents, caregivers, and organizations servicing little ones under 5 years of age are invited to the NYPL Harlem Library to enjoy art-making and other activities that encourage creative time and bonding. Session B welcomes parents and caregivers.
Lil’ Studio is part of The Studio Museum’s inHarlem initiative, designed to explore innovative ways to work in the community while taking the Museum beyond its own walls.
Lil’ Studio is free, refreshments will be provided. Pre-registration is required.
When you leave, check out the Little Free Libraries in Marcus Garvey Park, directly across the street, and check out the Children’s Reading Circle each Wednesday morning in the park ~ both sponsored by Marcus Garvey Park Alliance.
