Each Summer, we look forward to performances by The Classical Theatre of Harlem on the stage in Marcus Garvey Park. This season is a lot different due to COVID-19.
The Classical Theatre of Harlem will bring the play into our living rooms with a free streaming from June 12 through June 26th at 8:00pm.
About the play ~ The Bacchae is a story in which Dionysus, the god of wine,, prophecy, religious ecstasy, and fertility, returns to his birthplace in Thebes in order to clear his mother’s name, and to punish the insolent city state for refusing to allow people to worship him.
