The winners of the Seaport Community Mural Project were announced by Manhattan Borough President, Gale Brewer and the New York City Emergency Management (NYCEM), with the winning designs and artists names above and below.

The winning designs will be applied to structures that are part of the Interim Flood Protection Measures (IFPM) program, designed to protect critical facilities, infrastructure, and low-lying areas throughout the City from flooding caused by a hurricane.
The Interim Flood Protection Measures program is managed by NYCEM in collaboration with the Manhattan Borough President’s Office of Gale Brewer (MBPO). The winning mural designs consider the social, historical, architectural, geographical and cultural context of the Seaport neighborhood.

The banners, printed on vinyl, will be installed along South Street in the South Street Seaport neighborhood in late summer or early fall, 2019 and will be on display for approximately 1-5 years.
