The Second Edition of ‘Selections’ + Lucia Hierro, ‘Mercado’ to Open at Elizabeth Dee Gallery

Harlem & The Bronx have something to say, and will share “their unique and diverse cultural voices” in their art, generating “a robust discourse” in the second edition of ‘Selections,’ an exhibition series curated by Larry Ossei-Mensah, presented by Elizabeth Dee Gallery.

Selections‘ is an exhibition series designed to bring visibility “to the dynamism of emerging artists based in Harlem and The Bronx.”  It is curated by Larry Ossei-Mensah and will feature works of four artists, Anthony Giannini, Leslie Jimenez, Irini Miga, and Ronny Quevedo.

Selection‘ will be on view from January 27 to February 24, 2018 at Elizabeth Dee Gallery, 2033/2037 Fifth Avenue at 126th Street in Harlem.  Opening Reception will take place on Saturday, January 27 from 5-8pm.

Opening co-currently, will be the exhibition Mercado, a solo show by Lucia Hierro.  This will be the artists first solo gallery exhibition in New York, and will introduce a series of soft assemblage sculptural objects on the walls and floor, from digital media and painting to installation art, sculpture and color theory. A public Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, January 27th from 5-8pm at Elizabeth Dee Gallery.  Lucia Hierro: Mercado will be on view to February 24, 2018.
