Souvenirs: New New York Icons at Storefront for Art and Architecture
Souvenirs: New New York Icons is the second iteration of Storefront for Art and Architecture’s model show. The exhibit displays all manor of New York City souvenirs inspired by every part of this City that never sleeps. 59 artists, architects and designers give voice to the pocket-sized, artificial, cheap and popular takeaways, representing cultural, sculptural, and political within the urban experience. Challenging what permeates the gift shops, “Souvenirs” introduces a shifting approach to our urban symbols, highlighting new understandings of the urban experience.
Visitors can cast a vote for the object that best represents their vision, with the top three souvenirs presented to Mayor de Blasio.

Souvenirs: New New York Icons will be on view from September 16 to November 18, 2017 located at Storefront for Art and Architecture, 97 Kenmare Street,
