Spring is in the air, and a sign of that is the annual Salmagundi Club Spring Auction. Nicholas Dawes, Salmagundi Chairman of the Board and Senior Vice President of Heritage Auctions, will host the online proceedings on Friday, April 9th at 4:00pm

The auction will be broadcast and bids will be accepted, absentee or live, online. Phone bids are also welcome.

This year, the auction will present over 200 works by current Salmagundi members, and two rare Antonio Cirino works from Salmagundi’s archives. In addition, portraits and commissions will be up for auction.

The Salmagundi Club auction is the oldest continuous art auction in New York City. Each sale supports the historic Club, which has been home to such luminaries as Louis Comfort Tiffany, Childe Hassam, William Merrit Chase, Howard Pyle, N.C. Wyeth, Norman Rockwell, and Guy Wiggins.
