Brooklyn-based photographer, Steven Laxton has partnered with The LGBT Community Center and Immigration Equality (the nation’s leading LGBTQ immigrant rights organization) on a photography and essay exhibit entitled Free to Be Me at The Center, opening on Tuesday, November 14.
The exhibit shares the stories of trans and queer refugees from around the world, who have received asylum and are building new lives in the United States. This photography exhibit shares their powerful stories.
Steven Laxton: Free to Be Me will open on Tuesday, November 14th with an Opening Reception from 6:30-8:00pm, and be on view through the end of this year. The Center is located at 208 West 13th Street, Greenwich Village. Free registration here.
