One of the most celebrated contemporary artists of our time, Yayoi Kusama will unveil her latest works on May 11 in her largest gallery exhibition to date, spanning David Zwirner Galleries West 19th and West 20th Street in New York City.

The exhibition will feature new paintings, new sculptures elaborating on her signature motifs of pumpkins and flowers, and a new Infinity Mirrored Room.

The Much Anticipated Grand Central Madison is ~ Open!

The much anticipated Grand Central Madison is set to open on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. This brand-new terminal and concourse will run alongside Vanderbilt Avenue from 43rd Street to 48th Street, with four new entrances to Madison Avenue in addition to entrances into historic Grand Central Terminal.

MTA Arts & Design brings Yayoi Kusama + Kiki Smith as Permanent Artworks to New Grand Central Madison Terminal

MTA Arts & Design announced the commissioning of two highly acclaimed artists selected to create permanent artwork for the greatly anticipated Grand Central Madison, a new 700,000-square-foot Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) terminal below Grand Central Terminal, along Madison Avenue between 43 and 48 Streets in Manhattan. The site-specific large-scale installations by Yayoi Kusama and Kiki Smith will be unveiled with the opening of the new terminal later this year.

Did You Know There’s a Yayoi Kusama Bronze Pumpkin on 42nd Street?

 

 

 

Since this is the month for pumpkins, we thought we would take a look at one of our favorite pumpkins by renowned artist Yayoi Kusama. You don’t have to wait for the next Kusama exhibition to view her work. New Yorkers can take a walk over to the Sky building on West 42nd Street to view Yayoi Kusama’s Bronze Pumpkin at its entrance.

KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature will bloom at New York Botanical Garden in April, 2021

The much anticipated exhibition, KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature by renowned Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, which was postponed due to COVID-19, is now back on track, and opening in April. The exhibition will be installed across the Garden’s landscape, in and around the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, and in the LuEsther T.  Mertz Library Building. What better place to socially distance than at the New York Botanical Garden.

Saving the Date for Kusama: Cosmic Nature at NYBG ~ April, 2021

The New York Botanical Garden announced dates for the much anticipated exhibition, Kusama: Cosmic Nature. The works by artist Yayoi Kusama will be on view from April 10 through October 31, 2021 throughout the 250-acre Garden and in the Greenhouse.
