The Farmers Market at Marcus Garvey Park Set to Open June 2nd

The Farmers Market at Marcus Garvey Park will open for the season on Saturday, June 2nd.  With more than ten local vendors, look forward to fresh produce, artisanal jams & pastries, honey, baked good, specialty prepared foods and some surprises.

Brussel sprouts, winter squash, kale, rainbow chard, arugula, spinach, carrots, rutabaga, turnips, collards, eggplant, peppers, lettuce, cabbage…….. Sweet & Salty Granola with Almonds ~ Ummmmmm

Last summer, this beautifully curated Market situated on the Park, quickly became a Saturday morning gathering place for locals, their kids and pets. In fact ~ the Market had so many four-legged friends that it held a Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest for Pets last year, complete with doggie-bisquit baked treats!

Homemade, handmade and even delicious samples are on hand. It is sponsored by the Marcus Garvey Park Alliance, who maintains a ‘community table’ with flyers and brochures on Park events, music, movies, and art installations.

The Farmers Market at Marcus Garvey Park, organized by Marcus Garvey Park Alliance, is located on Mount Morris Park West and 124th Street, open from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Follow the Market on Facebook.

See you there!
