The Carl Schurz Park Conservancy will be presenting the 49th Annual Gracie Square Art Show on the weekend of September 9 and 10, with over 100 regionally and nationally celebrated artists. The event will take place at East End Avenue and East 86th Street, and run from 10am to 5pm ~ rain or shine.
This is a chance to buy one-of-a-kind paintings, photographs, sculptures and other artwork. In addition, the Gracie Square Art Cafe’ will have sandwiches, sweet treats and a beverage from Yura. it’s a day for the whole family to enjoy.
Other events will include hands-on art projects for kids led by Conservancy volunteers. Here, they will teach the basics of drawing and painting. This event will be held from 10am to Noon in the Catbird section of the Playground.
There will also be Pollinators of the Park art project on Saturday, and Birds and Trees of the Park Collaging on Sunday.
