We’ve enjoyed The Poetry Jukebox on the Wittenburg Triangle in Greenwich Village, and in the East Village at Extra Place next to Howl! Happening Gallery. Now, The Poetry Jukebox will make its way to Bella Abzug Park.
The installation will highlight pieces of poetry and spoken word in mp3 format, with the thought that listening to the voices of poets is one of the most beautiful and inspiring experiences a city can offer. We have no idea who will be speaking or what poetry will be recited at the Hudson Yards location.
The Poetry Jukebox will be on view from October 21, 2019 through April, 2020 at Bella Abzug Park located at 542 West 36th Street in the Hudson Yards district, through Hudson Yards Hell’s Kitchen Alliance (HYHK).
While you’re there, check out Jordan Baker-Caldwell’s sculpture, The Ascension, at 36th Street and Ninth Avenue ~ the #7 Hudson Yards Subway Station artwork at 34th Street, created by Xenobia Bailey ~ Take a walk on the largest Green Roof in New York City, across the street at The Javits Center ~ Hop onto The High Line at 34th Street, and head South past The Shed + Vessel + The Edge, and on to The High Line Plinth and beyond.
