The Salmagundi Club’s 39th Annual Non-Members Exhibition

 

 

July 31st to August 11, 2017

The 39th Annual SCNY Exhibition for Non-Members in painting, sculpture, photography and graphics will open on July 31st.  Painting/Sculpture will be located in the Upper Gallery, and Photography/Graphics in the Lower Gallery.  The exhibition is comprised of works submitted by artists nationally. There will be an Awards Reception for the artists and their guests on August 11th from 6-9pm.

The Salmagundi Club is one of the oldest art organizations in the United States. Founded in 1871 as a sketch class, it is housed in a historic brownstone mansion in Greenwich Village that the Club purchased in 1917.  The Club has a memberships of nearly 850, however the Salmagundi Club Galleries are open daily, free to the public. Workshops and other events are available for non-members.

Jerry’s Int’l Palette Shop Demonstration will be held on Wednesday, August 9th from 6:30-8:00pm in the Upper Gallery. Free and open to the public.

The Non-Members Exhibition will be on view to August 11, 2017.  The Salmagundi Club is located at 47 Fifth Avenue, between 11th and 12th Streets.
