Here’s a special Holiday installation ~ a tribute to our Military ~ on view in the Upper Gallery of The Salmagundi Club from December 16, 2018 to January 1, 2019.

Best described in a recent Salmagundi Club Newsletter ~ “A Hero’s Tree” is a dedication to those who served in all the Armed Services of our military in the New York City and surrounding area and did not return.  A 10 foot tree will be erected in our Upper Gallery with three colors of stars. One set will honor the members and relatives of Salmagundi, the second set will honor those who resided in our five boroughs, and the third set will honor those who resided outside of the New York City area.

The tree will be on view during gallery hours: Mon-Fri, 1-6PM and Sat & Sun, 1-5PM.  SCNY’s Thumb Box Miniature Exhibition and Sale will be displayed in both our Upper and Lower Galleries at this time.

Salmagundi will sponsor a reception on Wednesday, December 19th, 2018 from 6 to 9 PM. Military personnel, local politicians and dignitaries will be invited to attend this reception.

Kathryn T. Cross will be the host for the evening. Kathryn is a Salmagundi member and a proud Navy Gold Star Mother. She will be assisted by Salmagundian Roger Rossi.
