Human Connection Arts: The Glow-in-the-Dark Party on October 25th + The 2021 NYC Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village on October 31

Check out the two events on tap for Halloween 2021! The Glow-in-the Dark Party getting into the Halloween spirit by painting one another with neon colors, and participation in the 2021 NYC Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village! Look for their Float.

 

Memento Mori: Interactive Installation by Gabe BC at Brookfield Place from October 26 through October 31

Larger than life skeletons transform the visitors of Brookfield Place through augmented reality in Memento Mori, an interactive installation by Gabe BC.

Pumpkin Patch at the Farm ~ Queens Botanical Garden from October 16 through October 31

The outdoor Pumpkin Patch at the QBG Farm will be full of harvest-themed photo opportunities. Ticket fee includes admission to both the Patch and the Garden. Children (age 4 and older) get to choose their own pumpkin and a grab-and-go craft activity to take home. Be sure to meet and take pictures with the friendly costumed nature creatures roaming the Farm! For adults 21 and older, available are harvest and pumpkin-themed beers and ciders for purchase.

Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade ~ October 23

The 31st Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade will take place on Saturday, October 23rd from Noon to 3:00pm at the East River Amphitheater.

 

Take a ‘Spirited Stroll’ through Green-Wood Cemetery ~ October 30

A perennial favorite! Get into the autumnal mood and enjoy a cool, crisp day exploring Green-Wood’s beautiful fall foliage. Historian Jeff Richman will lead this popular tour filled with tales of murder, mayhem, spirits, and the utterly bizarre. Visit the graves of The Wizard of Oz (actor Frank Morgan), George Washington’s favorite dentist, the somewhat shady originator of Spiritualism, and many more.

 

Bartow-Pell Trick or Treat Trek ~ October 30

Trick or Treat Trek at Bartow-Pell! Come in costume, rain or shine, it’s outdoor trick or treating time! Wander the grounds, search for a treat, one never knows who one might meet…

 

Scarecrows & Pumpkins at New York Botanical Garden ~ September 18 through October 31

Discover plentiful pumpkins and hordes of gourds by the Mertz Library Building and Haupt Conservatory Plaza, and keep an eye out for displays of whimsical scarecrows throughout the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden.

Scarecrows & Pumpkins are included with KUSAMA Garden Pass and KUSAMA Garden & Gallery Pass tickets.

 

Central Park Halloween Pumpkin Flotilla 2021 ~ October 31

This annual, free event will take place on October 31 from 4:00 ~ 7:00pm.

 

The Village Halloween Parade ~ October 31st

It’s back! (Thank you to all who donated and made this happen) The 48th Annual Village Halloween Parade will take place on October 31st with Randy Rainbow as this year’s Grand Marshall.

 

It’s a Day-Time Costume Party at Harlem Art Park ~ October 31

Friends of Art Park Alliance will be hosting a day-time costume party on Halloween from Noon to 6:00pm. Dance to the music of D J Agujita in this beautiful, historic park that is the home to the first Percent for Art installation in New York. In addition, enjoy the current revolving art installation, Capucine Bourcart: Plastic Fantastic!

Boo at The Zoo is back at the Bronx Zoo, with activities ranging from Pumpkin Carving Demos and walking the Candy Trail to Magic & Mind Reading and a Costume Parade.
